About
On October 9-11, 2009 we’re all headed to Guerneville, a little town in the heart of the Russian River wine country. It’s a laid back town that began as lumberjack camp and became a huge resort area in the 1920s-1950s.

We’ve booked the magic boon hotel + spa for our weekend away, and because it’s a boutique hotel, we’ll have the place all to ourselves. There are only 14 rooms, so we’ll each be sharing with one other person. The place is relaxing and perfect.

You’ll be happy to note that there’s Wi-Fi throughout the property. A little coffee shop/bookstore up the street offers Wi-Fi too, if you’d like some time to yourself in the mornings. If you head the other direction, Armstrong Redwoods Reserve is just up the street.
By car, Guerneville is about two hours away from the San Francisco International Airport. You’ll find travel specifics on our logistics page.
We couldn’t have funded this girls’ weekend without our sponsors, and here’s what a few of them are providing:
Good Stuff from Sponsors:
Toyota is taking are of ground transportation for the weekend, so look for a newsletter outlining carpool details.
As part of their wellness initiative, Zicam, the cold, flu, and allergy reliever, is sponsoring our yoga session and providing us with mats. Aren’t you pleased we didn’t ask you to lug mats from home? Thank you, Zicam.
Throughout the weekend, DDF (Doctor’s Dermatologic Formula) will be giving facial consultations so they can provide everyone with a gift bag specific to your needs. Everyone will receive a four-piece skin care regimen that focuses on: Acne, Anti-Aging Restorative, Anti-Aging Preventative, Sensitive/Allergic and Hyperpigmentation. To figure out what each of us needs, they’re doing a full skin analysis using their high-tech Skin Imaging System, which reveals issues deep within your skin’s surface layers that influence how your skin looks. It’s all done with light, so no one will be walking away with blotchy red faces.
There’s so much more, but those are the biggies. Thank you to all our sponsors, we literally could not have done it without you.
